Privacy
App privacy policy
This policy covers the TracShot app, which analyses a photo of your target and keeps track of your training sessions. It applies to the app on your phone and to the version in your browser. The app is still a prototype.

Who is responsible
The party responsible for your data is:
info@tracshot.eu
In short
- You don't need an account. We don't ask for your name or email address.
- Your sessions and photos stay on your own device.
- A new photo is sent automatically to our analysis service to find the hits. The service doesn't keep it.
- No cookies, no analytics services, no external fonts and no external AI services.
Analysing your photo
When you take or choose a photo, the app first makes a new copy without metadata, such as where and when it was taken. When you add a new photo, the app automatically sends that copy to the analysis service managed by the TracShot team. This also happens when you search again or straighten the target again. The service finds the target and the hits and sends back a proposal for you to check. It only processes the photo in memory, never stores it and keeps no log of photos or requests. We do this to carry out the analysis you use the app for.
What stays on your device
When you save a session, it stays on your own device: the photo and what you save with it, such as the hits and your score. In the phone app this is kept in the app's private storage, in the browser version in your browser's storage. We can't access it. If you delete a session, the photo is deleted too. If you delete the app or clear your browser data, all your sessions are gone: we don't make backups. On Android the app is excluded from device backups. On an iPhone your own backups, such as iCloud, may include the app's data, depending on your settings.
Access to your device
The app only asks for access to your camera, to photograph your target. If you choose an existing photo, the app only sees that one photo, not your whole photo library.
What we don't collect
The app doesn't ask for your location, doesn't use your microphone and doesn't ask for any firearm details. There is no public list or feed of results.
Your rights
Because we don't keep photos or sessions, we hold no data about you on our server. You manage your sessions yourself in the app. If you have a question about your privacy, email us at:
If you're not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium) or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Netherlands).
Changes
If features such as an account, cloud storage or sharing results are added, we update this policy before those features become available. The date below shows when it was last updated.
